Fossbrekka and Lanes

A easy walk and child-friendly hike that offers majestic mountains, birch forests, and waterfalls.

The hike starts at the parking lot Espeland. The hike can be divided into two:

• Espeland to Fossbrekka (3km)

The stretch from start to finish goes along a gravel road that is not marked, but there is signage at the starting area with an information board.

• Fossbrekka to Lanes (2km)

The path from Fossbrekka onwards to Lanes follows a clearly marked trail/road that is well signposted with red markings.

– About 5 km one way to Lanes (2 hours one way)

– Difficulty level: Easy

Driving Instructions and Parking

Parking is allowed in the area with the landowner's goodwill. Park in the marked parking lot and avoid parking along the road or out toward the roadway. Make sure there is enough space for larger vehicles and agricultural machinery to pass (at least 3.5 meters wide).

If the parking is full, one must find another hiking destination for the day.
